A brand-new adventure for the Shooting Stars! Legend has it that Kingsdown Manor's mischievous ghost trapped all the fun inside the house years ago, and nobody has laughed, danced or sung within its walls since. The Shooting Stars will become a team of monster-detectives, called in to investigate. In small groups, they explore different “rooms” of the manor — built through devised drama, sound and movement — solving playful puzzles, meeting eccentric ghostly residents, and piecing together fragments of songs and dances that used to be performed there long ago. Once every fragment is uncovered and performed, the curse is lifted and the manor's magic is restored. This one day camp focuses on mystery, devised drama and storytelling, giving a different flavour to the previous day's camp, 'The Halloween Factor' while still building towards a full ensemble performance — the children retell their investigation, complete with the songs and dances they “discovered” along the way, for family and friends. This fun-filled holiday camp will run from 9am - 3pm at Kingsdown Methodist Church.
