Class Description

Ballet bums is a cardio ballet dance class like no other. Based on the HIIT method (High intensity interval training) participants learn ballet technique exercises that build up to a sequence that is repeated with rest in between. As this class is for all abilities there are different levels of difficulty with each exercise. Over the weeks we also learn and build upon a short routine, putting our technical skills into practice but also developing dynamics and performance skills. After half an hour of cardio we hit the mats for 20 minutes for some floor bar and pilates. A chance, to stretch, relax, breath and unwind both body and mind. Participants often say one of the best things about this class is the music! Each week we have a different theme meaning the songs we dance to are from all different genres, eras, stage, screen and pop culture. Something for everyone and excellent motivation! Do I need to have ballet experience? Not at all! It’s a mixed ability class and each exercise has several different options for you to choose from. Over the weeks you will notice an improvement in balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, stamina and musicality. Instructions: Leave your leotards at home...it's ballet, but not as you know it! Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in, including footwear. Trainers are recommended for any knee issues. Please bring water and a yoga mat or towel.

Classes are available as a single or multi-purchase option: Class Passes are available at a discount for either 5 or 10 adult classes. There are NO REFUNDS. Classes can be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the class starts by clicking on the link in your confirmation email and amending your booking.
