‘The Greatest Show’ of Summer 2026 - Why EPA’s Summer School is a great choice for your theatre-loving tween!

Summer School is EPA's biggest and most exciting holiday camp of the year and one of the highlights on the 2026 EPA calendar! This year our offering for Shooting Stars (7-11 year olds) brings together songs from well-known musicals but allows the young stars themselves to craft their own roles and develop an original script themselves. They will be having so much fun, they may not realise they will be honing important skills to take forward into the next school year such as creative writing, editing and public speaking as well as life lessons in confidence and collaboration.

Our five day Holiday Camp takes place at Kingsdown Methodist Church this year and runs from 9am until 3pm (wraparound is available on request) Monday 27th - Friday 31st July. Sessions are led by experienced professional performing arts teachers and industry professionals - the best of both worlds! Shooting Stars will be put through their paces with singing, dancing and acting sessions alongside the collaborative script-writing sessions - but of course there will be time for fun creative activities and our famous disco!

On the final day, friends and family will be invited to watch a performance of ‘The Greatest Show’ complete with costumes and props that the Shooting Stars will have played a part (pun intended!) in creating. The beauty of being able to craft our own musical throughout the week is that youngsters who are happier in a supporting role will be able to create a part for themselves while those who love the limelight will have plenty of opportunities to shine.

At Egan Performing Arts we are passionate about providing a safe space for youngsters to socialise, build friendships and nurture creativity alongside mastery of performing arts skills. We also hope to inspire further creative play throughout the rest of the holidays, and teach confidence and teamwork alongside singing, dancing and acting!
