Joining a new dance fitness class can be daunting. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer, a complete beginner or somewhere in between, Egan Performing Arts has a dance class for you. Our classes are small enough (maximum of 18) so you feel like you have enough attention from Laura, your experienced and friendly teacher, without feeling too ‘exposed’ if you’re a bit less than confident when you start.
Blondin Park Pavilion in the heart of Ealing is where we run all our adult dance classes and we are proud to offer something for everyone. Whether it’s intense cardio, high interval intensity training, relaxation and stretching or just moving to music and having fun, there’s a dance class for you!
Zumba is a full cardio workout of high intensity aerobics routines to Latin music. The rhythm is what motivates you, along with Laura your leader! It’s a fitness class that really gets your heart rate going, burning calories and getting a high from the endorphins, the disco lights and the Latin beats! Zumba is every Tuesday at 7.30pm and is a really popular class, so be sure to book well in advance.
Ballet Bums is a fun modern take on ballet designed for fitness and strength. While being based on ballet moves, it’s very much a fitness class mixing cardio with stretching and toning exercises. We make our own themed playlists each week and the soundtrack ranges from pop to musical theatre and movie tunes. Classes take place on a Sunday morning at 10am and we find it’s the perfect way to relax your mind for the week ahead whilst giving your body a workout!
At Dance Divas we learn tap and jazz technique and dance our hearts out on Mondays at 7.30pm. This class has much more of a performance focus, working on routines to pop and musical theatre tunes. We love to create themed dances – some of our favourites have been the Halloween ‘Dead Dance’ and our ‘Wicked’ routine! Dance Divas perform throughout the year at EPA events – last November we took part in a nationwide ‘Tapathon’, raising over £1500 for BBC Children in Need in sponsorship.
Whatever class you choose, you will become part of the EPA community with access to social events like:
· theatre trips
· quizzes
· performances
· coffee after class
